Frances Lawless, MNZM (born 29 March 1968) was an actress from New Zealand
actress. Her most famous work is her role in Xena Warrior Princess and D'Anna
Biers in Battlestar Galactica. Ruby was a part of Starz the horror-comedy show
Ash vs Evil Dead from 2015 until. Julie Ryan (nee Haynes), was her mother, and
Frank Ryan, Mount Albert mayor. She is the fifth of six siblings, which
includes four brothers and one sibling. She has described her family as
"this huge, sprawling Irish Catholic family", and , while filming in
Ireland for the Discovery Channel in 2004, informed Ireland on Sunday that her
father's family originated in Quilty, County Clare. At the age of 10, she was
able to perform in her first show. After that, she started acting in secondary
school. Marist College, Auckland was where she was studying languages. She
embarked on her "overseas adventure" when she was 18 years old,
traveling around Europe as well as Australia along with Garth Lawless, her
future husband. In her 21st year, she was the winner of the 1989 Mrs New
Zealand competition. Lawless claims that she suffered from bulimia in her
childhood, however, she was in a position to beat the illness.
