Barbara Heck

BARBARA (Heck), Born 1734 in Ballingrane which is located in the Republic of Ireland. She was the child of Bastian (Sebastian) Ruckle and Margery Embury. 1734 in Ballingrane (Republic of Ireland) is the daughter of Bastian (Sebastian) Ruckle and Margaret Embury m. 1760 Paul Heck in Ireland and they had seven kids of whom four survived infancy d. 17 August. 1804 in Augusta Township Upper Canada.

The evidence of the day she married was secondary. It's difficult to discern the motivations behind Barbara Heck's behavior throughout her life from original sources. Abel Stevens, a Methodist historian in 1866, wrote about this. Barbara Heck has taken the highest spot on the New World's list of ecclesiastical leaders in the wake of Methodism. Her reputation is more based on the importance of the cause she is associated with than her private life. Barbara Heck's role with the early days of Methodism was a synchronicity that happened to be a lucky one. Her popularity is due to the fact that a popular organization or group will glorify their origins, so that they can maintain connections with the past and to remain rooted.
